Tools 2025
Raycast
Raycast is a replacement for MacOS Spotlight Search, it is very functional and has hundreds of available plugins and integrations which cement it into workflows.
Arc?
I still use Arc browser on my Mac, purely because it is the best vertical tab browser that is stable. Ever since I moved to vertical tabs in Arc, I cant go back to Chrome. Vertical tabs are better! Im keeping an eye out for Zen Browser, which will probably end up being a replacement for me once it becomes more stable
Cursor
Cusor is currently, in my opinion, the best code editor on the market. Its constantly evolving and supports all the features VS Code supports
Ghostty
Ghostty is an upgraded MacOS Terminal that gives a much better user experience. It is also very fast
Obsidian
I long used Notion as my note taking app, it worked great but I found that it was hard to focus all my attention on my notes with all the distractions in the app. So I moved over to Obsidian, which has been amazing. Obsidian is a fully local based note taking app, meaning you own all of your notes on your hard drive as markdown files. The amount of plugins and themes Obsidian has just makes it levels above Notion for pure distraction free note-taking or writing.
